Plain rice رز ابيض

Notes

Depending on the kind of rice grains you use, you may need to put more or less quantity of water on the rice. Some washed types have less starch, others have more and can be sticky.

Preparation Time: 0.75 hours

Ingredients

3 Cups egyptian rice.
1 1/2 tablespoon butter or oil.
3 1/2 cups water .
3/4 tablespoon salt.

Cooking Instructions

Wash rice well under running water and drain.
In a deep non-stick pan heat and stir oil or butter and rice over medium-high heat.
Add water and salt, and leave until water is almost absorbed.
Cover and move to low-heat, leave to cook until rice is tender.
