Baqlawa / Baklava بقلاوة

Notes

Baklava is a popular desert in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Servings: 5

Preparation Time: 0.75 hours

Ingredients

1/2 kg baklava.
1 cup margarine.
Blanched nuts.
Rose water (optional)
Sugar syrup.
3 tablespoons sugar.

Cooking Instructions

In meduim baking pan, brush melted margarine.
Mix nuts in a bowl and add sugar and raisins.
Stir to mix ingredients well with rose water.
Put half the quantity of baklava in the baking pan, then spread nuts and cover with the rest of baklava.
Cut into squares or triangles.
Heat margarine then pour on the baklava.
Put pan into oven medium heat till golden brown.
Pour cold sugar syrup.
