Semi-fried Rice أرز محمر

Notes:

Rice is served in many ways in Egypt. This one is brownish and tasty.

Servings: 5

Preparation Time: 1 hours

Ingredients

3 cups rice.
1 1/2 tablespoons margarine or butter
4 cups water.
Salt.

Cooking Instructions

Wash rice well under running water and drain.
In a deep pan heat and stir butter or margarine and 1 cup rice over high heat until golden brown.
Add remaining rice and stir to mix with fried rice.
Add water and salt till water is almost absorbed, cover and move to low heat.
Leave to cook.
Serve in a platter.
