To taste, or a lot

Depends on what you are used to. We Egyptians are known for having a sweet tooth, so we add a lot. That can be too sweet for Westerners.

So, start with "add sugar to taste" and adjust as necessary.

can I just make some Qamar El Din from dried apricots? how many grams or ounces of paste in the recipe? and, is there anything else in the paste besides apricots or is it just like fruit leather?

Thanks, Lea-Anne
