Shakshouka شكشوكة

Shakshouka is an egg and tomatoes dish, from Libya.

Preparation Time: 0.5 hours


5 eggs.
1 green pepper.
1 tomatoe.
1 onion.
Salt and Pepper.
2 tablespoons butter ,or margarine.

Cooking Instructions

Cut tomatoes and green pepper into small pieces.
In a skillet heat butter or margarine to melt.
Add onion and stir until yellow.
Add peppers and mix together, cook for a couple of minutes then add tomatoes. Leave to simmer.
In a bowl beat eggs and add to vegetables mix well.
Serve in platter while hot.
