Baked chicken with potato and bechamel صينية فراخ بالبطاطس و البشامل

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken .
  • 3 potatoes.
  • Parsley.
  • 1 tablespoon thyme.
  • 2 tablespoons butter.
  • 2 tablespoons flour.
  • 3 cups milk.
  • Salt and pepper.

Cooking Instructions

  • In a deep pan boil potato slices in water until semi-tender.
  • Boil chicken and remove skins and bones.
  • Cut chicken into bite size pieces.
  • Melt butter over medium-high heat and add flour, stir until smooth then add milk, salt and pepper whisking frequently until bechamel boils.
  • Add parsley and thyme and stir. Take off heat and set aside.
  • Heat oven, mix potatoes with chicken pieces in a baking dish then pour bechamel over dish and place in oven until surface becomes golden brown.
  • Serve immediately in same dish while hot.
